The Ship and The Sea returns, September 6th, at Facility for a run of 12 shows, Friday, Saturday at 8 PM, Sunday at 5 PM. We are in rehearsals now. Cast includes Vicki Walden, Andrew Schoen, Lola Zimmerman, Kristy Lockhart, Lena Brun and Paul Brennan. Charlotte Lastra is managing the show and helping me design everything. This is Chapter 4 of the Cafe Neckbeard Saga, which follows the story of Chef Anton "*" Anis' Cafe Neckbeard, The Historic Logan Square Neighborhood's (THLSN'S) only 24 hour fine dining celiac intolerant explosively experimental and experimenatlly explosive cafe. This chapter explores Chris Bower (PR Rep and Procurement Specialist) and Doughboy's running of a coffee delivery service out of Cafe Neckbeard called The Pig and The Bear Bring You Coffee in Logan Square, while the fine dining cafe stalled during the Covid-19 pandemic. Chris tells the story of what happened and more.
