Older people living with HIV may have unique needs that stem from both the natural aging process and the specific challenges associated with managing HIV over a long period. Challenges can include medication interactions, mental health issues, a lack of social support, and HIV stigma.
Vivent Health-TPAN’s Positively Aging program is designed for adults over 50 who are living with HIV. Two types of support are provided by the program: 1) a support group led by a therapist and a peer facilitator that allows participants to bond and share life experiences. 2) Individual therapy delivered by an experienced therapist who understands the challenges faced by older individuals living with HIV.
The program is free to join. Program intake is required. Questions? Contact Beverly at 773-989-9400.
