Today is World Environment Day. World Environment Day is the biggest international day for the environment. Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and held annually since 1973, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental outreach. It is celebrated by millions of people across the world. If you're not conscious about the environment, you may want to consider it. We need each other and we need this world. We only have one.

Today's post spotlights an amazing member of the 100 Black Men of Chicago. Juan Thomas is a man who operates in the spirit of excellence. We celebrate his committment to community, scholarship, equity, and leadership. Congratulations on obtaining your Doctorate of Ministry from the Chicago Theological Seminary and your recent honors received from the National Bar Association. You are making a difference in our world. We thank you.

Welcome to June. It's National Men's Health Awareness Month. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are stats that are causing concern about American men becoming less conscious of their physical health. Don't fall victim to this phenomenon. Use this month as a stepping stone to increase your physical activity levels. One small change consistently can lead to significant results.

We are heading into the month of June very soon. We're sliding right out of Mental Health Awareness Month into Men's Health Awareness Month. Naturally, local organizations are doing their part to educate men and those that love them about ways to increase their positive health outcomes. Revisit our post about the Health Fair, this Saturday, June 1st. If you can't make that one, check this one out scheduled for June 8th. Prioritize your health. Give Blood. Save Lives.

Calling all men.... all roads lead to the Community Prostate Health Fair on Saturday June 1st. Kick off the month of June with a targeted wellness check. A PSA screening has the potential to save your life. We'd love to see you there.
