Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard attorneys Tara R. Devine and Jaclyn J. Kurth obtained a $2,250,000 million wrongful birth settlement. Our client underwent pre-implantation genetic testing to prevent their second child from having a genetic condition. A genetic lab’s erroneous reporting misled the parents into believing that their child would not be affected. After a successful pregnancy, newborn screening revealed the baby was born with the genetic condition despite the lab’s reporting that he would not.
