Hello Neighbors, I am working to get the ball back rolling on the a dog park in Humboldt. I am in need so some help with this undertaking. I am looking to put together a group within the Humboldt park community. To start, I need a few committed volunteers to help reorganize the Non-profit LLC. Then once that step is done, I we will need to from a committee to represent the dog parks interest to the Chicago Park district. Hopping to get a few volunteers that have a background in CPA or non-profits. Please let me know if you are interested by commenting on this post and sending me a direct message.

Dog parks bring communities together

Our Mission

The mission of the Humboldt Dog Park Initiative is to work with the City of Chicago and Parks Department to create a Dog Friendly Area in Humboldt Park. The organization will promote responsible dog ownership and community involvement. We want a safe place for our dogs to socialize without disturbing other patrons.

Humboldt Park is one of Chicago’s largest parks. Our desire is to bring a Dog Friendly Area to Humboldt Park to enhance the community and safety of the park. Creating a dog park is a grass roots project fully funded and mostly executed by the community.

We are a small group of dedicated dog owners that want to improve and advocate unity in our neighborhood.
