The practice has been accurately described as "torture", and has lasting effects on those who are subjected to it, even after release.

Our program will continue to fight for more appropriate rehabilitation practices in Illinois prisons, and provide whatever support we can for those who are returning home.

The Life Skills Reentry Program is hiring!

We're looking for a dedicated, passionate Employment Coordinator to come aboard. The position's main responsibilities include providing job readiness training to our program participants through one-on-one job counseling, assisting with job searches and job applications, providing job leads and/or job training opportunities, and providing information on job fairs or hiring events.

In addition, you'll work on recruitment of local employers in the Chicagoland area, maintain employer relations through regular contact, follow up on placements, and troubleshooting.
