This client has been coming to me since March of 2017, where we started with just Microblading. Her last appointment was in 2019, where we did Nano Hairstrokes with Soft Shading (swipe to see) At that point in time, she wanted a more bold/defined look. It’s been 5 years since her last appointment, so we were able to switch back to a more natural look. She is so happy with the softer brows at this point in her life. She allowed enough time between touch-ups, and we were able to switch between styles.

As you can see from the last photo, my style as an artist has changed so much since 2016. However, I have ALWAYS been light-handed with my technique, and approach everyone’s skin with caution and care. As you can see now, her brows are able to fade and free from scarring. So grateful for the clients who have been with me since day 1, and grow and evolve with me 🫶

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Anjolie Upright, and I am the PROUD owner of Upright Beauty.

Reflecting on the journey from when I started the business in 2016 - entrenched in the corporate grind, commuting hours each day, living paycheck to paycheck, buried in student loan debt. We had 2 toddlers in daycare, and I barely saw them with having to work full-time, and fit in clients after hours and on weekends. But with faith and determination, in 10 months was able to quit my job May 5th of 2017. Fast forward to today, and the transformation is surreal! Quadruple my corporate salary, half the (in-person) work hours, a studio minutes from home, debt-free, and freedom of time to spend priceless moments with my family. Gratitude fills my heart and I am eternally grateful for each client that has trusted me and connected with me in any capacity. Every referral, like, share, message, review is so deeply appreciated. You are all the reason I am still here today & that the business is thriving. I love you, I love you, I love youuuu!

Fluffy blonde brows, 1st session 😍 This client is an au naturel Babe who doesn’t wear much makeup on a daily basis, so we went with a less is more approach with the hairstrokes. Swipe to see the approved pre-draw. We hand draw the shape and hairstrokes so that the client sees the most realistic idea of what the end result will be. Tattooing does not begin until there is 100% approval. Please keep in mind that we can always ADD MORE, so depending on your desired result, we may approach the 1st appointment a bit more conservatively. Then once you go through the healing process and the color settles in, we can determine if we need to add more strokes, darken the color, thicken the shape, etc at the Perfecting Session.
