This is a great charity that operates in Warren and Clermont Counties. It is supported by many different organizations around Clermont. Please read the post and support the kids in need if you are able.
With an unprecedented number of bed requests from Clermont and Warren Counties at the end of 2023, we will be out of beds by the end of this month. And, as of February 1, we will likely have at least 250 bed requests to fill!
Those of you familiar with us know that winter builds are not something we can do because of weather, etc. However, on February 2nd and 3rd, we have a fantastic opportunity to do two separate indoor builds in the Felicity Franklin Schools' bus garage. (A big thank you to the Felicity Franklin School District and their superintendent for offering us a warm location to help us help kids!)
Our February “caravan of kindness” starts with the Felicity Franklin FFA students, who have raised enough money to fund building 30 beds on Friday. The second build is sponsored by a group (consisting of 4 fire departments, a car dealership, a church, and 4 individuals) who have raised enough money to build 70 more beds on Saturday.
Building 100 beds in a weekend is great, but we’ll still need 150 more beds just to fulfill our current backlog of requests. Please consider joining our “caravan of kindness” by bringing together a group of coworkers, family, or friends to:
- donate money to increase the number of beds to be built Saturday
- volunteer for the bed build on Saturday
- donate to the FFA to enable more beds to be built on Friday.
For more information or to chat with our chapter president about donating, volunteering or sponsoring a build, please [either "message us via our FB page" or "respond to this email", depending on where they are reading this] and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
Thank you for your time and consideration as we ensure "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town"!
