Essex Studios Artists Guild Invites You to our Fall October 2024 Artwalk! Our theme is "Art in Fashion"!

Celebrate Artwalk and visit 40 Essex artist studios open for behind-the-scenes tours of their workspaces. It's a great opportunity to meet the artists, pick up art as gifts or for your collection, home or business and celebrate fall with 100's of other art and fashion lovers! 25 guest artists will also participate in our huge building. When you attend, expect large crowds of of fellow art lovers both nights.

You are invited for a "Fashion Business Presentation" in the main auditorium Friday night. And a live FASHION SHOW, Saturday Night, presented by Cincinnati Fashion Designers!

Saturday Night after the Fashion Show... "Meet the show participants" - Will happen on the 2nd floor of the building!

The theme for our traditional Artwalk "Art Contest" is "Art in Fashion". Essex Artists and guest artists will create themed art contest entries that will be on display in the main Lobby! Help us pick contest winners.

In support of our theme we invite you to dress like you are a "model in a fashion show"! Expect surprises in the building!

Again we welcome live musicians playing around the building on both nights! Bill Johnson, Dr. J, and Jeff Goller are confirmed so far.

Come and see live cats from adoption agencies, and take home a new friend! Also see the "Cat" themed artwork in the competetive art contest! "Mutant Cats" are coming to the Essex Studios Cincinnati Spring Art Walk "Cat-A-Paw-Loosa", a celebration of Cats! May 3rd and 4th 2024 from 6-10 PM both nights! Essex Studios Spring Art walk is this upcoming weekend May 3rd and 4th from 6-10PM each night. We are happy to announce a special guest musician for ONE NIGHT ONLY Saturday May 4th from 6:30 to 9:30 Jeff Goller will be visiting from Charleston South Carolina.

Jeff will be playing and singing Bluegrass and whatever else you can coax out of him on his Dobro guitar! He is a member of the Palmetto Rose Band, a well known Low country Bluegrass Band in Charleston, SC.

Jeff has played Merlefest 5 times with Pete Wernick and the Bluegrass Jam Camp.

We are excited to welcome back DR J to our Essex Studios Spring Art Walk. This weekend May 3rd and 4th from 6-10PM. Dr J will be playing from 6pm till around 9:30pm.

Dr J plays a mix of 60’s and 70’s Rock and humorous songs to the delight of all ages. He ranges from the Eagles, Beatles, Jethro Tull, Crosby Stills and Nash to local Cincinnati music and Weird Al Yankovic and Tom Lehrer. His lively tenor and acoustic guitar renderings are funny and enjoyable.

Essex Studios Spring Art Walk is this weekend May 3rd and 4th from 6-10PM each night. Bill Johnson will be entertaining us with his mix of Jazz, Rock, Blues, Bluegrass and Celtic songs.

Playing BOTH Friday night May 3rd and Saturday night May 4th from approximately 6:00 - 9:30 pm.

Billy started playing guitar at 6 with his Conservatory trained Pianist Mom and Bluegrass loving Mandolin playing Dad. He studied Jazz with nationally recognized Dayton guitarist Terry Bradds.His early influences included Chet Atkins and The Allman Brothers Band. At 12 he was invited to play in a local folk group ,Maranatha 6, because of his improvising skills. He continued to play in solo, group and orchestral ensembles all through high school and college. While teaching Bass,Guitar, Mandolin and Banjo at Beaver Valley Music.. he recalls jamming with members of home town heroes “The Ohio Players” while recording in their Dayton, Ohio studio… Billy continues to write, record and perform in a variety of settings….

Along with Bill's live music, 40 artist studios and 25 guest artists will be open for visitors to explore.

The theme for this spring art walk is "Cat-A-Paw-Loosa" A Celebration of Cats! With a cat art contest, live cats up for adoption in the building from several cat adoption groups and cat related speakers in the main auditorium at 7pm both nights.

There will be live music and close to 60 artists displaying their creations.

The art walk is this coming weekend Friday May 3 and Saturday May 4 from 6 -10 pm both evenings. The theme for this art walk is "Cats" and we plan to make it a "Cat-A-Paw-Loosa" Celebration of Cats! The art contest theme is "Cats" as well!

May 3rd & 4th it's all about Cats for" Cat-A-Paw-Loosa" we'll have several cat rescues and cat adoptions, so we're hoping to get some Art Walk enthusiasts to volunteer some time helping us out with the crowds. DIY Printing at The Essex Studios Cincinnati Artwalk May 3rd and 4th 2024 Presents: A DIY Printing Studio - Gallery Show of art from MZICAR New York

Mz. Icar is an anonymous New York art collective composed primarily of Black Women. Their name is racIzM, backward. They started the collective to create works that celebrate Women, Global Blackness, and Play. See their pieces displayed in the DIY space!

DIY will also have a DJ in it's space at the artwalk.

Also at the Artwalk see 40 artist studios and 25 guest artists throughout the Essex Studios Artist Collective Building. You can drop in and meet the artists and see their latest works.

Art will be for sale at DIY Printing and from all other artists displaying at the artwalk.

Live music and food options will be available.

Expect this to be a huge party with hundreds of people. Free admission and parking.

This is a special artwalk as we will also be celebrating "Cats" expect to see live cats in the building from several cat rescue organizations. You can adopt a cat at the artwalk. See you there!
