Hey Sacramento Area folks! I’m trying to get one of my Veteran patients, rides to his 1-2x week appointments. He’s in Rio Linda area, about 10 miles/15 mins from my work place. He has a car, but can’t drive until after eye surgery, and his regular driver is going back to be with her elderly mom out of state until September. Just got a notice that my next batch of Tai Ji Rulers has been shipped from Ukraine = I'll have them sometime in the next 1-4 weeks. I have them made in Ukraine by Skolot a marital artist & wood worker who makes wooden swords, staffs, bokken, etc. Excellent caring craftsmanship AND he makes the Tai Ji Rulers (tàijí chǐ 太極尺) to my specs = smaller than his previous design, more grain oriented AND with 悟修 (Awaken & Cultivate) engraved on the central ball/bead. They are great Qi Gong and self care tools, useful for relaxing and strengthening shoulders, improving balance, and improving lymphatic flow to prevent/treat lymphedema. Also, very calming and grounding way to connect heaven and earth through the Central Channel (Microcosmic Orbit). Excellent article on Chronic Pain and the dysfunctional ways Pain is mediated and medicated in the US. I appreciate the articles inclusion of Acupressure, Acupuncture, CBD & Mindfulness as methods that can make a big difference in the lives of those living in chronic pain. ADD in essential oils and Reiki and you have an outline of how I practice and how I teach people to work relieving chronic pain for themselves, for their loved ones and in their healing practices.
