For those of you who have come to the office, this face may seem familar 😀. I'm blessed to have such an incredible MA with me every day.

She had tried Kybella in the past to decrease the fullness under her chin, but nothing really helped. Here she is 3 months after in office, laser assisted cervical and submental . She's doing great and I couldn't be happier for her!

This lovely young lady came seeking refinement in her profile and nasal tip, a straighter nasal bridge from the front and nose that just fit her better. She was bothered by the drooping of her nasal tip with smiling and now just a little over a month later she's loving her new nose!

She's still healing and her final result will continue to reveal itself over the next year to year and half. But she's excited to tackle her new life in California with the nose she always wanted. We kept her looking and like herself, and I was truly honored that she chose me to be her surgeon ❤.

What a treat being able to take care of this incredible patient. He defies his age and was bothered by the lower eye area. He underwent with skin pinch, followed by CO2 to the lower eyelid skin.

This approach to his lower eyelid area helped soften the lower lid cheek junction while also aiding to smooth the fine lines of the skin in this delicate area.

Just for fun, he wanted to treat his glabellar lines, but he understands the importance of and will incorporate regularly scheduled to continue to soften this area.

Overall? I'd say this is a and a heartfelt thank you to him for letting us share his results ❤️

This lovey patient was looking for enhanced symmetry of her upper eyelids and removal of excess skin. She also has healed beutifully.

Many patients are hesitant to do this procedure because they're concerned about how they will heal. With attention to closure of the incision, great post op care by the patient, time, and great skin quality, the scar from the incision should just melt away. 🥰

Septal perforations can happen for a number of reasons: trauma, prior surgery, co***ne use, cancer, excessive nose picking, aggressive nasal cauterization just to name a few. This can lead to frequent nose bleeds, crusting, constant feeling of nasal obstruction, and oftentimes complaint of a whistling noise with breathing.

How do we fix this? Here’s an example of the graft used to close this defect. It’s a perforated absorbable plate surrounded by the patient’s temporalis fascia. It’s placed in between the elevated sides of the septal perforation and helps the nasal mucosa heal around it. Within time the perforation closes 👍

Problem: Orbital fat pads are one of the contributing factors to the aging lower eyelid. No, you can't hide them with filler. Unfortunately, filler oftentimes makes these pesky guys worse.

Solution: Removal or repositioning. This patient had a bit of an over abundance of orbital fat and had both fat removal and fat repositioning. But the solution is not always "one size fits all". It rarely ever is. Some patients can get a great result with just fat repositioning and some need the fat pockets removed with a separate fat transfer. You're unique, your solution should also be equally individualized 😉

Who wouldn’t want to look more rested or to have their makeup actually do what we want it to do?

Uhhhh hello, 🙋🏻‍♀️. I feel this one. Two kids, working full time and always feeling like there’s something else to clean.

This is also why I post late and totally miss the ideal posting windows that instagram normally recommends.
🥺🤪🫠

This gorgeous mom of 2, and full time workaholic needed just a little ( I’m borrowing your catchphrase ❤️).

She was tired of looking…tired. A little bit of volume loss led to lengthening of her lower eyelid and accentuated dark circles. With from the line of fillers by , she has a softened transition from lower eyelid to anterior cheek and her lower eyelid doesn’t look at long.

Subtle and impactful is the name of the game for the . More is not better in this delicate area.

Patients are all too often scared of fillers, scared of and not looking like themselves. As much as I love the progress surgery can make, sometimes you can’t deny the transformation can create.

Well, I was not expecting such incredible summer weather here in the . Portland, you have definitely exceeded all of my 🤩.

I’m as excited as all of you, but please don’t forget your sunblock and protective sunwear! First step is always, always sunblock. 1/4 teaspoon just for the face! I tested if what I was putting on was the right amount and even I fell a little bit short. That mistake has quickly been remedied. Also, I always opt for physical blockade as opposed to chemical. All of the sunblocks for myself and my family are physical.

Don’t be scared of them! Just for fun I’m wearing my kids’ blue lizard sunblock in the last pic. (I prefer to pay the sunblock in, myself)

Your future self will thank yourself for being now 😎.

It’s Friday, so we’re mixing it up.

Lesson of the day: fixing asymmetry.

Many patients come in bothered by facial asymmetry. We all have it. Perfect symmetry does not exist and surgery will not give it to you. What surgery can do is lessen the asymmetry so it is less apparent.

This patient had asymmetry of the eyelids. Together we developed a game plan of how to address it. Usually I do not endorse unilateral crease formation, it is a select few that I will even consider it.

I go over all the inherent differences between a surgical crease and the natural crease and every patient must agree and understand that they may be back in a few months requesting that the non-operated eye be addressed.

It’s a more challenging recovery because the post op course is even more apparent. At one week there is a noticeable difference between the eyes. This is due to swelling but it overall resolves and by 3 months we are closer to symmetry. Is it perfect? No. But the asymmetry is definitely less noticeable 😉.

On that note, Happy Memorial Day!

Merry Christmas and thank you all for making 2022 an incredible year! We have had so many blessings and are ready for what 2023 has in store!

Exciting news is around the corner and we can’t wait to share it with you!

In the meantime stay safe and healthy this holiday season. Hold your loved ones close and enjoy the rest of 2022!

I love this result for so many reasons, is it perfect? No, but it highlights the improvement on a difficult case. There is obvious asymmetry at baseline with weak levator function on the right eye. This patient and I had a very honest conversation pre-operatively about likely continued asymmetry even after an aggressive .

He had an 8mm levator advancement on the right eye, with a more straightforward on the left. We also performed a bilaterally to help open up the inner corners.

He’s healing well and you already see the brow relaxation from the improvement in his visual fields. He will continue to see minor adjustments as the remainder of his swelling dissipates month by month.
