SEEKING FULL TIME SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY FOR BUSINESS LAW & LITIGATION FIRM



The Law Offices of Thomas S. Carter is a small Claremont-based business law firm serving the Southern California region. Our practice is roughly 30% transactional (i.e. drafting contracts, commercial leases, licensing agreements, buy-sell agreements, corporate governance, researching regulatory issues, drafting client memoranda with legal opinions, etc.) and 70% litigation (breach of contract, fraud, employer defense, unfair competition, theft of trade secrets, online defamation, disputes among business partners, etc.). Most of our clients are small and midsized businesses.



We are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in business transactions and litigation.



The applicant must be fully familiar with all stages of litigation and must have strong legal writing and research skills. There will be a 90-day probationary period to ensure the attorney is a good fit.



The attorney will work directly with the owner, Tom Carter, and will be trained to handle a leadership role in the firm. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet and can handle themselves in court and with clients.



Pay will be salaried with an aggressive bonus structure. There is future opportunity for remote work, but for the first year the attorney will be working in our Claremont office.



Current admission to the California State Bar in good standing is required.

I would like to honor those brave men and women who participated and helped in bringing D - Day, June 6, 1944, to fruition. It was essentially the beginning of the end of WWII in Europe. This time is special to my family and me, as we lost our beloved Rudolfo Salazar killed by the N***s in France, August 16, 1944, at age 19. I salute my Grandparents brothers - Rudy, Felix, Lino, Manuel, Frank, Albert. Raymond, Calvin and James who unselfishly served during this time.

Never, never, never forget.
