*ALERT* As of yesterday, Animal Control took in 49 strays over 2 days!! If you are missing your dog or cat, thinking about adopting of fostering, go there tomorrow when they open and do not wait. For those of you unfamiliar with how Animal Control is forced to work, there are only so many spaces for animals. Once they are full, animals have to be euthanized. Strays have a mandatory hold time of 72 hours. This means room must be made for them. Forty-nine spaces in fact. Don't be madd at Animal Control. Be mad at your neighbor that doesn't spay, neuter, microchip or put an ID tag on their dog. Be part of the solution and not part of the problem-encourage everyone you know to do right by their pets. Adopt if you can, foster if you can't. Let's stop this insanity Clarksville-Montgomery County!
There is an amazing array of dogs available this week at Animal Control just waiting for adoption. Come by and adopt your new best friend. You won't regret it! Call 931-648-5750 for adoption information.
Once a year, MCACC holds an event in honor of Scott Allen Reif, Jr. a young boy who passed away unexpectedly in July 2016. Scott's mom, Afria Reif, works at MCACC. Scott loved going to work with his mom to walk the dogs and play with the cats. To honor Scott's memory and his love for animals and superheroes, MCACC is hosting a "Superhero Adopt" event in hopes of clearing the shelter and finding homes for all of the animals. This event takes place this Saturday, Oct 27 from 10am-3pm. We hope that you will join us adopting, sponsoring or just coming by. All of the animals in the facility will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before leaving on Saturday. Adoption fees will also be waived. There is truly no better time than now to adopt!
