Roxy Regional Theatre to hold Gala 42 in new Cypress Ballroom at DoubleTree by Hilton - ClarksvilleNow.com The Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville's oldest professional theatre, is celebrating 42 years of live theatre in the heart of historic Downtown Clarksville with Gala 42, an evening of fine food, art, music, dancing and revelry on Saturday, October 5.

*YOUTH AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT*

The Roxy Regional Theatre will be holding auditions for local youth for the upcoming production of "A Charles Dickens Christmas" on Saturday, September 28, from 1pm to 4pm. Rehearsals begin November 14th, with the show running from November 29-December 14.

There is one featured youth role available as well as a youth ensemble to be cast. (Please note that while the youth ensemble will only perform for the public performances, the featured youth role will be needed for the School Field Trip Shows offered Tuesday-Friday mornings from December 3-13. A conflict sheet will be provided at the audition to fill out.)

For the audition, please prepare one 30-second monologue and a one minute cut of a song of your choosing. Please provide a musical track for your song, as there will be no a ca****la singing.

Originally opened in 1947, the theatre was a beacon for first-run films up until the 1980's. Today, the Roxy produces 10 main-stage events annually.
