How Zumba Changed My Life!
My name is Michelle and I am a Zumba instructor. I first found my passion for Zumba as a student for many years before taking the leap into becoming an instructor! I’ve always enjoyed dancing, but staying regimented and focused on fitness has always been a challenge for me. Working full time, having a family, and moving frequently became excuses why I didn’t have time to be active. I felt like I never had time for myself. No hobbies and not much of a social life as I started out in each new city. I started Zumba by dropping in random classes and over time I got to know the instructors, routines, and the people in class with me. It quickly became my hobby, my social hour, and my ME time. I forget that I’m exercising when I do Zumba...I’m there to let loose and have fun, and I’m still shocked sometimes to see that 700+ calorie burn on my fitness tracker after such a FUN class!
I’ve lost 70-80 lbs since 2011, and Zumba was a big part of my weight loss. Once I put myself out there to try a class, I was hooked and now I’m a Zumba lover for life. I couldn’t get enough of it! I became a Zumba instructor to share this wonderful class with others, but also to bring people together and build community. It can be tough to meet new people, and a Zumba class is a great place to laugh, chat, sing, and dance with others...whether you know them or not!
Never danced before? NO PROBLEM! The choreography is repetitive and broken down to allow everyone to go at their own pace. I would love for you to come dance with me!
