One of our favorite memories of the 2023 Kiwanis Rodeo was the first ever Miracle Rodeo sponsored by Planters Bank.
We worked with the Clarksville Association Down Syndrome CADS to offer children a series of hands-on rodeo events inside of the arena. They were also able to meet our entertainers and see animals up close.
What a great event!
Introducing "Miss Clarksville," born during Saturday's Rodeo performance.
A THANK YOU TO RODEO FANS!
The interest and support for this year's Rodeo was unbelievable. For 34 years, Rodeo fans have helped us fund our programs for children in the Clarksville community.
Here are just a few ways the Kiwanis Club supports the community...
➡️ Renovation of the Explorer's Landing and Family Art Studio at the Customs House Museum
➡️ Thousands of books given to local third graders each year through our annual Reading Rodeo
➡️ Our annual Children's Christmas Party for Head Start students
➡️ Our annual Interview a Veteran Essay Contest
➡️ Sponsorship of three local Key Clubs
➡️ College scholarships for local students
➡️ Funding for other organizations such as CADS, YoungLife, JDRF and more.
We are a volunteer organization of community leaders...not some national company. Members of our club have been working for the last year to put on this show...completely as volunteers.
2023 exceeded our expectations and then some. With this came some growing pains. Our Saturday performance had an overwhelming number of fans, more than we had ever seen in 34 years. And, with that came some major issues. We have heard your concerns and are already working to make next year's 35th anniversary Rodeo even better.
Again, to our sponsors, our loyal fans, vendors, volunteers, cowboys/cowgirls and Rodeo producers...we say THANK YOU!
We expect a BIG CROWD again tonight. Follow these tips to make the Rodeo a great experience for everyone…
1. To secure a great seat, get here early. Gates open at 5:30 pm with the Rodeo at 7:30 pm.
2. The closer to show time you arrive, the better chance you will have standing room only options.
3. Please be courteous to others in the bleachers. Make room for everyone to have a seat!
We can’t wait to see you at the Rodeo this tonight!
