We had such a great time on Thursday June 6, 2024 dedicating the new Gold Star Memorial at the flag pole on the F. Evans Harvill Quadrangle. Joseph Brunner, a local scout from Troop 365, chose to complete his Eagle Scout project at Austin Peay to design, fundraise and build a memorial for Gold Star Families. A Gold Star Family is one who whose family member made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. We are honored that Joseph chose Austin Peay for this vitally important memorial.
Joseph, President Mike Licari and members of Troop 365 dedicated the Gold Star Memorial in front of a crowd of Austin Peay State University officials, APSU Board of Trustees members, state and local officials, Ft. Campbell leadership, and Gold Star Families.
