🇺🇸 In Remembrance – 9/11 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We reflect on the bravery of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the enduring spirit of unity that brought our nation together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

As a way to give back to our local communities, we have been running a food drive to support our local food banks. 🥫🥫🥫

When our customers are preparing for a Kitchen Saver install, we encourage them to donate any food items they no longer need, and we take care of delivering them to the food banks.

Our first donation was to Our Lady of Victory which is a donation site for the where we donated 173 lbs of food! Together we can make a difference!

Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of all the incredible individuals who keep our communities thriving. Whether you’re enjoying a well-deserved day off or spending it with loved ones, we hope you take a moment to relax and recharge.

Need a dinner idea for tonight? We've got one! 🐠

Ingredients:
▪️ 4 white fish fillets such as tilapia
▪️ 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice + 1–2 tsp orange zest
▪️ 1 tbs olive oil
▪️ 3 tbs light brown sugar
▪️ 1–2 tsp fresh dill
▪️ 1/8 tsp white pepper
▪️ 1/2 – 3/4 tsp salt, or to taste

Directions:
▪️ Combine all ingredients + pour over fish in baking dish. Marinate for 1–2 hours.
▪️ Remove fish + reserve marinade. Grill or broil fish, turning once + brushing
with marinade, for about 15 minutes. Fish stays tender and flaky.

Need a dinner idea for tonight? We've got you with this Caramelized Lemon Chicken recipe! 🍋

Ingredients:
▪️ 2 chickens cut into eighths oil
▪️ breadcrumbs (unseasoned)
▪️ 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
▪️ 3/4 cup sugar
▪️ 2 tablespoons water
▪️ 1 fresh lemon, squeezed, to be added at the end

How to make it:
▪️ Wash chicken pieces and pat dry. Smear with a little oil and coat with breadcrumbs. Lay in a single layer in a large baking or roasting pan. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit/180 degrees Celsius for one and a half hours.

▪️ Uncover and bake for 10 minutes.

▪️ While baking, pour the sugar into a shallow pot. Cook over medium flame until the sugar liquefies and turns a caramel brown. It’s better not to mix it. Just watch it, or it will burn. This happens fairly quickly.

▪️Carefully add the lemon juice and water and turn the flame to low. Mix until it becomes a thick syrup. This is best done with a wooden spoon. The sugar will probably become hard at impact but will liquefy eventually.

▪️ Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon the syrup over it, taking care to cover each piece. Return to the oven and continue baking uncovered for 20 minutes. Pour the fresh lemon juice over the chicken and bake for a few more minutes. Enjoy!
