I honestly never saw people as a color. I saw their smile or their eyes. When I met my husband 18 years ago he explained to me that the world was different than I viewed it. He would point out the people starring at us as if we were making them feel uncomfortable. Today, I don’t know if people still stare at us. I don’t care. We now have three amazing boys together and I can’t help but find myself worrying over them for when they grow into young half black adult men. We have to raise our children right, no matter the color of their skin! This will be the biggest way we can make change in this world. So that the next generation will be better than today! That is how I’m choosing to make a change in our world! We will raise our children to not refer to people as this white man or black man, because telling a story, defining them as their color serves no purpose other than to divide us more. We will raise our children to be respectful of all men and women! We will raise our children with confidence and love! These are difficult times and have been for a while. Now more people are rising up, let’s make a change, raise better humans, teach our kids to love. @ Palm Harbor, Florida
