August 13th Updates to Clemmons Elementary School Car Rider Traffic Patterns

STACKING:
Stacking will be allowed on James Street from Cook Avenue to Bingham Avenue. NO STACKING on two-way streets including James Street in front of the Forsyth County Public Library. YOU CAN ACCESS JAMES STREET VIA COOK AVENUE AND BREWER AVENUE.

When stacking, K-1 should be in the left lane; 2-5 should be in the right lane.

THREE WAY STOPS:
To decrease your wait time, use the feeder streets to James Street including Cook Avenue and Brewer Avenue. Three-way stops will be implemented as soon as weather permits at these intersections.

NO STOPPING:
No stopping on Stadium Drive or Lewisville-Clemmons Road to access any street.

Additional Street Striping and Arrows will be painted as weather permits.

Dine Outs are a great way to give back to the PTA!

🚌 ATTENTION BUS RIDERS🚌. There is a new app the district is using to track your bus.

This has taken the place of Here Comes the Bus. You can go to your phone's app store and download "Edulog Parent Portal". After downloading, sign up for an account and then verify your email. To track your student, you will need to enter their information, including their student number. The classroom teacher should be able to give you this number if your child doesn't know it.

For those that are new to the school or didn't sign up last year, we send out Remind notifications anytime a bus leaves our campus in the afternoons. This especially helps parents if the bus tracking app is down. We try to put these times in everyday if possible. You can opt out to stop receiving messages at any time. In effect TODAY!! Here is a new map that includes how the cars will be double stacked on James street and how to enter James St.

📣This goes into effect TOMORROW!!! Please take a minute and familiarize yourself with this new traffic pattern all around Clemmons Elementary.
This is NOT just during school hours, this is for ALL THE TIME.
Please have some extra patience during car line. This is new to all of us!

Beginning Friday, August 9th, the Village of Clemmons will transition two city streets into partial ONE-WAY streets due to heavy traffic related to Clemmons Elementary School.

James Street, will now be ONE-WAY from Stoney Drive to Brewer Avenue.
Bingham Avenue, will also be ONE-WAY from James Street to Stadium Drive.

The Clemmons Fire Department will have the authority to use TWO-WAY traffic on both streets for priority calls if necessary.

Postal and Sanitation services will be allowed to use TWO-WAY traffic temporarily.

If you can’t make the open house tomorrow, there is still Curriculum Night the first week of school. It’s a GREAT chance to meet your child’s teacher and learn about what they will be learning this year.

Cafeteria manager has asked that all families that think they would be eligible for free or reduced lunch to still fill out a form in order to receive other benefits that come along with the program.
