This means that results count towards WPA rankings, world and regional records, and even qualification for US national team or international competitions. This is an exciting opportunity for adaptive athletes (wheelchair or standing), especially in the Eastern U.S., as we are one of only 2 existing adaptive track meets in the area.

Hey all you future Clemson Tigers!! Check out this information from Accessible College! If you’re planning a campus visit to Clemson University be sure to ask for the accommodations you need.
Did you know that students and guests can request accommodations for college tours? 🤔
➡️Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, colleges receiving federal funding must provide "reasonable accommodations" for tours and admissions events. However, navigating the process varies widely among colleges, leaving many feeling excluded and disempowered.
Join us as we delve into the crucial conversation of college accessibility with Annie and Elizabeth Ralston. Elizabeth, an accessibility consultant and parent to a child with hearing loss navigating the college search, shares her insights and experiences.💡
College tours are a pivotal part of the journey to higher education.
Yet, for students and families with disabilities, accessing these tours can present unique challenges.
Head over to our blog to learn more about the importance of accessibility in college tours and admissions. Empower yourself with knowledge and advocate for inclusivity in higher education. 💻

We had the awesome privilege this last weekend to assist a local scout troop in the Upstate area in earning their Disability Awareness merit badge. A group of 9 scouts learned about wheelchair basketball, did an accessibility site visit of two different areas, and talked about person first language/appropriate terminology, among many other things. The scouts enjoyed their time playing an adaptive sport while also learning something new! We love working with community members to create more knowledgeable and supportive disability advocates.

We’re so glad to see more adaptive sport opportunities coming to the U.S.! Swing down to Myrtle Beach on Feb 2-3 to see the U.S. Wheelchair Rugby League team in action. And to jump in our Clemson wheelchairs and give it a try at the Beers of America Adaptive Sport Festival.
If you are looking to make any end-of-year donations, please keep Clemson Adaptive Sports in mind. While we have a great working relationship with the university and athletic department, we still have great need of additional supports. We are a grass-roots organization building from the ground up to provide access and opportunity to students and faculty on campus, as well as community members in our area and across the state. 100% of donations go to running our programs (purchasing equipment and jerseys, renting facilities, etc) and getting our athletes to competitions around the country.
We couldn’t do this without you! Thanks for the support.

Students with physical disabilities may need a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support and assist them in college. Unlike high schools, colleges do not provide PCAs, or para-educators. This presentation will cover the role of the university, identifying and understanding the students’ needs, and challenges they may face.
Please join us at 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Nov. 29 for “Going to College with a Personal Care Attendant,” part of our Accessible College Series, with guest speakers Annie Tulkin, MS, Founder and Director of Accessible College, LLC; and Adrienne Frumberg, M.A., Independent College Counselor, Founder, Lighthouse Guidance.
