Thank you to Cleveland Police Division’s Training Section (CPD) for an insightful experience at their scenario-based training demonstration for the Cleveland Community Police Commission and their community partners including Spread the Love Foundation
•
The reality-based demonstration was held on Saturday, December 16th from 10am-2pm at CMSD’s East Professional Center.
•
The information session included an overview of their change management efforts in accordance to the City of Cleveland’s Consent Decree directives.
•
Attendees viewed mock situational trainings to demonstrate how the program assesses officers’ procedural knowledge and adherence. Attendees also listened to a panel discussion with CPD and Q&A session to ask questions and offer feedback.
•
Overall the program metrics show that new procedures and revamped training have led to a decrease in Use of Force (UOF) by CPD officers and increased officer safety.
•
Feedback from attendees ranged from information on Harvard research studies regarding policing, to the requests for more information on CPD culture change trainings and efforts, and beyond.

In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy. Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope. Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time.
