Good morning! With the lenten season starting today, we just wanted to remind everyone that starting with today and continuing every Friday during Lent, all fried orders MUST be called in ahead of time. No walk in orders will be accepted. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

We've decided to stay open...for now. If the weather picks up at all or we have a lack of customers we may decide to close early. So, if you are planning on coming in today PLEASE call ahead to make sure we are still open! Thank you all for your understanding and patience, and we hope to hear from you all soon!

So, seeing as this snow isn't letting up any time soon, and seeing as how we've had zero phone calls or customers yet today, we are considering the possibility of closing up early today. We are going to keep an eye on things over the next few hours and come to some sort of decision around noon. We will keep you all posted!

Just a heads up: we will be closing the kitchen tonight at 4 and the store at 4:30.

Our phones are finally back up!

Our phones are still down. We are working on getting new phones, but until then we are unable to receive any phone calls. We apologize for any convenience, and we hope to have our new phones as soon as possible!

Happy New Year!!!! This is your last day to stop in for some fresh seafood for all your New Year's parties. Of course New Year's wouldn't be the same without your favorite West Park shrimp, Larry! Come take a pic or just say hello!

Here are our hours for the remainder of this week and next week:

Tuesday thru Thursday: 8 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Friday and Saturday: 8 A.M. - 6 P.M.
Sunday and Monday (Christmas Eve/Day and New Years Eve/Day): CLOSED.

With Christmas rapidly approaching, we are getting ready for our usual holiday rush. If you're looking to place an order for the weekend, today will be the last day we will be accepting orders. We will have plenty of everything, however, so if you're unable to get an order in please stop in and pick out whatever you're looking for!

Speaking of orders, all Friday and Saturday orders will be picked up in the adjacent building nearest to W.158th, in the back of the lot. As usual, there will be signs directing you where to go if you're unsure.

It's that time of year again, where we are getting ready to shut down our kitchen so we can focus on making our cocktail and tartar sauces for the big holiday rush. Our final day for fried food will be this Friday, November 10th. The kitchen will re-open shortly after the first of the year.

Please note: the store itself will be open as usual, we just won't be able to fry anything up for anyone.

Due to the extremely bad weather in New York (where we get our clams from), our clam supply will be limited for this coming week. So, if you're looking to place an order for next weekend please call or stop in as soon as possible to place your order!

As many of you may have noticed, if you had bought our 6 oz jar of Al's Gourmet Shrimp Sauce at Giant Eagle over the past couple months, the sauce may have looked a bit different than what you've all been accustomed to. Here's why...

Back in the late summer/early fall, we were running into a problem getting our normal ketchup. It wasn't a problem with the ketchup itself, instead it was the packaging: our bulk ketchup comes in a foil bag which comes inside a cardboard box. The foil bags were the problem: any food or medical item that came in those flexible foil bags were very hard to come by at the time. Not knowing if this would resolve itself by the holidays, we temporarily switched to a different ketchup brand. It was an INCREDIBLY difficult choice, but after sampling the ketchup and making a test batch with the new stuff, we went ahead and produced several hundred cases of the 6 oz shrimp sauce. Our reasoning was that it was better to have some product in the stores than to have nothing at all.

That being said, the feedback that we've received on the substitute ketchup has been mostly negative, so we can assure you that we won't be doing that again any time soon. If you have any feedback, positive or negative, PLEASE let us know as we'd like to hear from as many people as possible.

We will be closed on Sunday (as usual), Christmas Day. We will also be closed Monday, December 26th because, well, we're all tired after a long holiday season and we're going to take an extra day off to recover. We'll be open on Tuesday the 27th at 8 A.M.. Merry Christmas everyone!

As we've done the past few years, if you have an order to pick up on the 23rd or 24th we will have order pickups in our adjacent building closer to W. 158th, NOT in the main store. We will have signs up pointing everyone in the right direction and canopies up as well to protect people from the elements (if the wind isn't too bad, that is).

We will be open 8-6 today and tomorrow, and 8-4 on Saturday. We look forward to seeing all of you soon!

Just to be clear: JUST the kitchen for our fried food is shutting down. Our retail store will remain open for normal business hours. We will still have all of our homemade dips, salads and cocktail shrimp like usual. We thank you for your understanding, and look forward to seeing you all soon!

We finally have some news on our clam prices for this fall. As of right now, all clam and clambake prices will be the same as last year. This is subject to change, but our distributor was pretty confident he would be able to keep our prices as they've been. If we hear any different, we will post here immediately.
