THIS WEEK AT INLET! 🌊

The Inlet company members and dancers of the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program have JUST begun their rehearsals in preparation for our residency with ! Over the next week, our Founder & Executive/Artistic Director, Bill Wade, will create 2 BRAND NEW pieces on the students at Ohio Northern University. On Saturday & Sunday the Inlet Dancers and students at ONU will come together to perform a concert- including a LIVE collaborative performance improvisation! We can hardly wait!

Inlet Dance Theatre and other area companies will perform at Playhouse Square for the Dance Showcase tomorrow night. FREE!

… and our 24th season has kicked off with orientation day! We are so happy to be back and welcome in our 3 brand new apprentices!

While summer isn't quite over yet, it's never too early to be thinking about fall! Specifically, fall class offerings! Inlet Dance Theatre offers classes for children and adults. Take a look:

Thursdays
4-4:45pm children's ages 6-10
5-6pm children's ages 11-16
6:30-8pm teen/adult drop-in ages 16+

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
9-10:45am professional class with the Inlet Company

Tuesdays, Thursdays
9-10:30am pre-professional class with the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program

We had a phenomenal performance yesterday evening for the last performance of Inlet’s 23rd season at Tremont’s Lincoln Park! Thank you to everyone who came to close out our season with us. Stay tuned for what we have coming down the pipe for our upcoming 24th season, starting in September 🗓️

On Tuesday (7/30), we joined and at two Akron community centers (Mason Park & Joy Park) for our first day of performances as a part of the Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival ()!
Today (8/1), we head to Kenmore Community Center 1pm, and next Thursday (8/8), we will be at the Akron Art Museum at 6:30pm! All performances are free and open to the public. If you’re in the Akron area, come on out!

Our Behind the Scenes Sneak Peek event is about to begin! We are thrilled to share our Summer Dance Intensive works in progress with everyone coming and to celebrate our 2.5 week students who’s final performance with us is today 😊

After rehearsal yesterday, the dancers took some time to decompress at the beach leading up to our day off today! We’ll see everyone back in the studio tomorrow for another day of dancing 😎

THAT’S A WRAP!
This afternoon, the students of our Summer Dance Intensive Junior culminated their camp experience with an informal showing for friends & family, sharing everything they’ve learned in just five days 😮 We are so proud of everything they created! This year’s SDI junior theme, From the Art, helped the dancers create movement based off of the work of Frank Stella and Keith Haring 🎨
We already can’t wait for next year and all the wonderful creations those students will make!

We think today’s craft was the highlight of SDI Junior day three. Take a look at these Keith Haring inspired works of art!
