Housing Data Monster Mash Up: Evictions, Sales, Surveys and More!
As the Cleveland real estate market continues to see increased buying pressure from investors, questions about housing affordability and housing quality for renters remain. This session will explore and combine multiple Northeast Ohio housing datasets in an effort to bring some clarity to these questions. We will dive into eviction filings to find rent information and combine that data with property survey data and sales data to examine housing market trends most affecting renters in Cleveland.

Black Fathers' Barriers to Healthcare
In this qualitative study, we aim to understand the barriers non-Hispanic Black fathers face in accessing healthcare. We administered a short self-rated health and demographic questionnaire and then conducted a series of individual semi-structured interviews in order to gather information based on participants’ interactions with the healthcare system. Individual interviews were designed to understand the current barriers Black fathers face when accessing and utilizing the healthcare system.

Let's Talk- Community Fact Sheets to Action
The team at the Center for Community Solutions has produced a new round of fact sheets that we are excited to share with the community. For the data-curious, we would love to share our new process for transforming large datasets into meaningful local geographies. Then, let's chat about how to turn this type of data into action. When have you seen policy change, advocacy, or other action come from this kind of data? What can be done to make it more actionable?

Session spotlight- Data & Democracy: Rethinking Data Story Distribution and the Last Mile
Data stories can build trust in institutions and shared narratives among communities, both of which are vital for self-governance. As young Americans turn to short-form platforms such as TikTok and Instagram for news, even award-winning data stories struggle to adapt. This session explores these challenges and offers strategies for effective distribution, aiming to spark a larger conversation among data communicators.
