Studio La Femme is proud to welcome our newest staff member!!! Please give a warm welcome to Kayla Dunn
Hey! I’m Kayla Dunn. I was born right here in Coldwater, Michigan and I graduated high school from QHS. I’m a mother of two daughters, 5 and 7, and an active community member in Branch County. I work at Starr Commonwealth’s Resiliency and Empowerment Center in Battle Creek, where I get to build relationships with Calhoun County youth through art and mindfulness practices.
I am a Certified Trauma and Resilience Coach and hold a certificate in yoga, SEL-F, and Mindfulness through Breathe for Change. I also studied Cultural Studies at Hawaii Pacific University.
Living, learning, and working in an environment vastly different from home has brought me so much perspective. I have tremendous appreciation for our global community and the diversity within our country and on this planet. Island life may have also fueled my desire to live more slowly, authentically, and intentionally.
You can also find me around the community hosting other mindfulness workshops geared towards 10-18 year olds through the Branch District Library and other community partners.
I am so excited to spend time with you, slowing down and learning mindful art techniques together.
Tonight we have Back to Back FREE classes 😍 Yoga Flex at 6:45 and All About That Base at 8. If you’ve never taken classes with us, you can attend both classes completely free! And you can even wear pants lol.

Women unite!!! Today is a day to honor the fights we’ve fought to get where we are today. Here's to celebrating the resilience and perseverance of women in overcoming challenges and adversity. Wishing every woman the courage to break barriers, shatter stereotypes, and carve her path to success. May women everywhere be empowered to embrace their uniqueness, celebrate their achievements, and inspire others.

Empowered Women Empower Women
Welcome to the home of Studio La Femme. Our story began when a group of women gathered together to learn a simple dance routine for our partners. During the movement process the leader noticed the challenge each girl had with negative self talk. She observed these beautiful souls bringing themselves down while at the same time trying to be brave. It was then that the philosophies of the class were born.
Here at SLF we merge mental health philosophies and movement. We don’t allow any negative self talk. We say things to ourselves that we would never say to another human being and we don’t give that power while in the classroom. We are a community. We are not successful based off an individuals actions, we are successful because we are indeed a community where everyone contributes to the wellness of the group. We don’t just spend time together in the classroom, we uplift and empower each other during our day to day living. We are a support network when times get hard. We disappear in the classroom and leave our troubles outside the door.
Amazing things happen when a group of souls comes together to create a tribe. When we work through the fears that accompany pole fitness or burlesque classes we gain confidence. This confidence transcends outside of the dance space and into our daily living. Hold your head high sisters.
