I had a great meeting with Ashley Gunn this morning! Ashley is a rising Sophomore majoring in International Studies at American University. She has a bright future ahead. ⚖️

Just voted! I was voter 147 at Blythewood 3. If you haven’t voted already, you have until 7pm to make your voice heard. 🗳️

It was nice to meet my constiuent, Zhayona! She’s a rising 6th grader and is an excellent student. Her mom shared that she sees me on billboards and was excited to tag along with her mom to meet me today.

My first time ever conducting a voter registration drive occurred in 2000 alongside ML Kohn. She has encouraged civic engagement in our community for decades. Ms. Kohn would later suggest that I join my local NAACP Youth Council - an experience that influenced my current trajectory.

This recently captured picture serves as a great reminder that there is a primary election this Saturday, February 3rd! SC Democrats are FIRST in the Nation. Let’s go vote, ya’ll! 🗳️

Crash on Bluff Road claims life of Richland County deputy The 23-year-old graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in January and served as a patrol deputy in southeast Richland County, officials said.

60 years ago Henrie Monteith Treadwell, Robert G. Anderson and James L. Solomon Jr., integrated the University of South Carolina. It was an honor to celebrate these pioneering figures. Dr. Treadwell and Mr. Solomon both took part in the festivities. Early next year a monument will be erected on the Columbia campus to honor their courageous actions.

Lastly, it was great reconnecting with Dr. King’s mentee, former Atlanta Mayor and UN Ambassador, Andrew Young. I appreciated his impartation of wisdom.

We had a wonderful time seeing so many friends at the 2023 Carolinas Classic. Benedict College Football went on to beat Shaw University by a 52-0 victory. Also, big shoutout to Attorney Carl L. Solomon and the Solomon Law Group for their hospitality.

Year One. Thankful to celebrate Kambrell Garvin Law Firm, LLC’s first year of service. It’s been an honor to get to know and assist so many wonderful clients.
