This Giving (Every) Tuesday, we are proud to support Palmetto Place Children and Youth Services through University of South Carolina Women In Law 's annual Hero Hustle 5K hosted by Strictly Running. The Superhero-themed race is held in Columbia, South Carolina on September 7th, 2024.

Palmetto Place is dedicated to supporting children and teens who have faced abuse and neglect across the state of South Carolina. With a total of 50 beds, Palmetto Place provides both shelter and support services to children and youth experiencing homelessness.

With school back in session, this amazing organization helps the children of Horry County stay happy, healthy, and fed by providing them with food sacks and backpacks full of supplies and clothing. We are grateful for the work they are doing to ensure these children have the proper tools they need to succeed throughout the school year.

This Giving (Every) Tuesday, we are supporting the mission of Freedom Readers - an organization dedicated to improving literacy rates among children from low-income families through free one-on-one tutoring and mentoring.

In addition to tutoring, Freedom Readers offers enrichment activities such as book clubs, author visits, and field trips to further promote a love for reading and learning. They also collaborate with schools and community partners to reach more children who can benefit from their programs.

This tragic case involved an 80-year-old husband and father of three, the patriarch of the family, whose life was needlessly taken by a drunk driver who we alleged was overserved at a bar in Horry County, South Carolina.

This Giving (Every) Tuesday, we are happy to share that we are a community partner with Brockman Elementary, a public Montessori School of Choice located in the heart of our Forest Acres neighborhood.

Our partnership with the Brockman Elementary School PTO allows Brockman to provide programming to all students and families, regardless of their ability to pay. The PTO funds are also used for professional development for teachers, teacher appreciation events, and for classroom needs. We are glad to have the opportunity to support a school that does so much for the children in our community!

This Giving (Every) Tuesday, we are proud sponsors of this year's first ever MADD Rush 5K with MADD South Carolina. We continue to work closely with MADD to eliminate drunk and drugged driving across the state and create safer roads for our community.

This Giving (Every) Tuesday, we are supporting the mission of Transitions Homeless Center - located in Columbia, SC. Established in 2011, they offer immediate shelter and services such as case management, job training, life skills classes, healthcare, and housing assistance.

This summer Transitions Homeless Center is providing a cool place for homeless individuals to relax during the recent temperature surges. Their day center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering lunch, snacks, and an escape from the heat to anyone in need.

"What they don’t tell you is how much they’ve actually lost for clients by failing to properly investigate cases, learn their client’s human story, meet with witnesses, and take depositions – let alone prepare for trial. When you add up the amount of money these settlement mills have left on the table by operating as factories rather than as professionals, it’s mind-blowing."

This Giving (Every) Tuesday, we are happy to support the Lowcountry Food Bank in their efforts to ensure everyone has access to nutritious food.

With over two-hundred thousand people served and over forty-two million pounds of food and essential items distributed in 2023, this organization is working towards the long-term goal of ending hunger in the communities of the Lowcountry.

Additionally, The Lowcountry Food Bank is taking part in the Summer Food Service Program in 2024, providing free, nutritious meals to Lowcountry kids throughout the summer at various locations.

In honor of Father's Day this past weekend, this Giving (Every) Tuesday we are supporting the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition - an organization here in the Midlands that offers support for fathers through various community programs, job training, and employment connections to help fathers better themselves and their relationships.

This incredible initiative by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) unites partners from diverse backgrounds, all dedicated to eliminating impaired driving. The MADD Network empowers each partner to use their platform to educate communities about the dangers of impaired driving, the importance of underage drinking prevention, and the need for stronger legislation. We're proud to be part of this important mission and community!
