LIFE-SAVING PLASMA MADE FROM H**P SEED! Czech scientists came up with a very interesting project Plasma for People in 2019, which has the potential to change global healthcare in the future. His aim is to launch an organic blood plasma replacement. The basic ingredient is edestine, i.e. protein obtained from h**p seed. For years they has been using it for the treatment of tuberculosis in children. The project is currently in preparation phase of a clinical study. Artificial blood plasma based on edestine can be produced about ten times cheaper and also brings many other benefits - it cannot be contaminated by prion diseases, HIV or hepatitis, and it can also be given to patients who, religious or ethical, do not allow the use of blood plasma obtained from donors. Organic blood plasma will last much longer and do not have to be stored under specific conditions like frozen human plasma.
Commercial h**p seeds (for human consumption) contain on average 30-35% proteins, of which 60-80% is edestine (the rest is albumin). A specific strain of Korean h**p Cheungsam was proposed for use as an "excellent antioxidant nutrient", because it contains 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical capture activity. Edestin is a globular protein (biologically active) as opposed to fiber protein (structural). It is similar to serum globulin (blood plasma) and the biologically active protein edestine is metabolized in the human body. It is capable of biosynthesis for: hormones (which regulate all processes in the body), hemoglobin (which transport oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide), enzymes (which catalyze and control biochemical reactions) and antibodies (immunoglobulins that prevent the attack of bacteria, pathogens, as well as toxins or antigens when entering the body). Edestin also has a unique ability to stimulate the manufacturing process of antibodies against invasive substances and contains a low-bearing phosphorus content (kidney disease, etc.).

It’s a lazy morning for me, in the hammock, appreciating my sun shades that collect the tiny fluffs that are Cottonwood tree seedpods. The ones that make it past remind me of Water Striders, drifting across my deck. What an intelligent transport design! This morning it was time for my FL Pal and I to break down camp and bid one another Happy Trails. It was a good site, along with this lovely campfire ring with ventilating holes at it base, and the swinging 2-level grill is unparalleled, imo.
I was ready to get back inside my own head so I drove on to Pomona Natural Bridge Park and I was The.Only.One.There!
I was enthralled with ancient spaces underneath it, and how they must have made for a secluded but central living/gathering spot. I felt the wind pick up and the trees were singing. Some of the paths were so lovely with smooth rock and tender mosses that I hated to walk them in shoes. Imagine all the barefeet that laid those trails long before the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) got hold of them!

I graduated…from Physical Therapy for the C-spine! Got a T-shirt and everything! My Neck Pain Disability index dropped from 74% to 15%!! Pain levels from 7 to 2. I was in such bad shape I was gonna go under the knife. My shoulders are more level, and I have a thigh gap (ahem).
I knew there was no way I was gonna do these exercises on my own when I could barely drag out of bed, so I’ve been renewing the PT order for nearly constant supervision for the last several months. Now I’m back to working full-time and applying some new habits into my massages, too. 💝

I have concerns for many of my pals. What used to be called Fatty Liver Disease is now called Steatotic Liver Disease. Take a look around at your watering holes, and you will often see Folx with belly fat on an otherwise slim body. I’m not referring to beer bellies, or wheat bellies, which collect lower down. Fatty Liver begins high in the abdomen and then extends downward.
Until the disease has progressed, that may be the only outward sign. Fatigue is common, with occasional pain in upper right abdomen. Advanced cases may show signs of jaundice (yellowing) of the skin and whites of the eyes, but by that time the disease has progressed to cirrhosis or liver cancer. The only treatment is early intervention with diet, exercise, and sharp decrease in alcohol consumption. It would take serious dedication to turn back this disease, but it can be done. Be as well as you can be, my Folx.
