The Administrative Employees Club at the University of South Carolina.
The AEC was organized over forty years ago to reflect the "esprit de corps" among the administrative employees of the University of South Carolina. While primarily a social organization, the AEC fosters the spirit of enthusiasm and sense of commitment among its members that makes a positive contribution to the overall environment of the University.

Congrats to AEC member Abe Danaher for receiving the OYT Standing Ovation Award-- well-deserved!
Abe is a regular attendant in the AEC football lounge on gamedays. Congratulate him in person this Saturday as the Gamecocks take on #1 Georgia Bulldogs. A noon kickoff means the lounge opens at 11:00 a.m. Go Gamecocks!
On Your Time Initiatives created the Standing Ovation Award to recognize campus partners who exhibit exemplary service and dedication in our work together. Abe Danaher, Communications Manager, Office of the Provost, has been selected as the Summer 22 recipient of the Standing Ovation Award!
Abe’s nominator said this, “Abe was so helpful to us this summer from serving on an OYT search committee, writing a piece on OYT, designing a flyer for our senior citizen orientation, and always offering helpful advice for many UofSC Communication questions. Our staff often comments on Abe’s kind and generous nature.”
Congratulations, Abe! 🏆
Way to go USC Sumter. My very first professional job was at Sumter. Thanks for giving me a chance!

Who's ready for Homecoming?!?
The Gamecocks will meet the Commodores this Saturday and we hope YOU'LL be there! The AEC lounge will open at 3:00 p.m. and we'll enjoy chicken and Angus beef sliders and raw fries pre-game and the usual cookies, tortilla chips, and queso and salsa during half-time. If you don't have season passes and/or want to bring guests, it's $10 per person at the door!
The Gamecocks' long-awaited season opener is this Saturday against Tennessee, and YES, the lounge will be open! However, just like with everything else this year, it's going to look different. Our occupancy will be limited to 25 guests at a time. We will not be serving food, but we will have bottles of water. There is no entry fee this year-- just bring a smile and enjoy AEC camaraderie!
Even though our season opener didn't go the way we wanted, we're still looking forward to the first HOME game at Williams-Brice! A noon kick-off means the lounge opens at 11. We'll be serving chicken and waffles, grits, and other brunch faves! If you haven't already bought your lounge passes, you can do so online here: https://sc.edu/facultystaff/administrative_employees_club/news_announcements/2018/football_lounge.php
Those who have already purchased passes will receive them in campus mail this week or can pick up from Emily Davis in Wardlaw 304 or on Saturday in the lounge!
