Staff Highlight: Amanda Mata

Amanda is the Community Outreach Advocate Manager for the Welvista Medication Assistance Pharmacy (MAP).
She has been a vital resource for our community advocates and wasted no time in creating trusting relationships throughout the team. She actively works to ensure that our advocates feel confident and supported in their roles as they strive to connect with community members and partners throughout their region.

Children who are dealing with poor oral health can suffer from several issues that can lead to poor performance in school.

At Smiles for a Lifetime Dental Centers, we want every smile to be a healthy smile and for every student to succeed in school. That's why we operate our dental centers on school property and provide transportation to and from appointments. By making dental care more accessible to students we are helping them stay healthy and ready to learn.

Welvista's Smiles for a Lifetime program was recently awarded 500 back-to-school kits from 's ToothFairy as part of their "10,000 Smiles Ready to Learn" initiative.

These action-hero-themed kits include Action Hero pledge to brush forms, activity books, brochures on oral health, bookmarks, dry-erase charts with markers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.🎉🪥🦷

We are so grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of this initiative and we look forward to sharing these packages with the students we serve over the next few weeks.

Welvista's Medication Assistance Pharmacy bridges a tremendous gap in prescription assistance by providing a single point of access to name-brand and generic medications that treat chronic illnesses and mental health disorders at no cost to patients.

Today Welvista’s CEO Juanita Wright presented the keys to a new van for the Dillon Smiles for a Lifetime Dental Center.

Dillon School District Four Superintendent Ray Rogers and Smiles Manager Renee Miller were there to receive the van.

Renee said, “we can’t wait to a use the van, it is certainly going to help us transport more children to and from their appointments.”

It's a new school year and we are happy to see so many smiling faces returning for their dental appointments. 🦷😁

Lorraine is one of our new Community Outreach Advocates for the Welvista Medication Assistance Program (MAP). She happily serves Clarendon, Georgetown, and Williamsburg counties.

Welvista's Smiles for a Lifetime dental program is looking for new dentists to join our team!

We're seeking experienced dentists to provide comprehensive dental services at our Dillon, Manning, and Allendale, SC centers. Our dental centers provide restorative and preventative services to students in K4-12th grades at no cost to their families.

Our centers are located on school property and operate Monday - Friday 8AM -3PM daily. We offer competitive daily pay plus mileage. This is a great opportunity for retired dentists, or those looking to give back to their community.

We have openings for one or more days per week or per month.
Applicants must have a SC Dental License and malpractice insurance.

This past Saturday we met over 200 students and their parents at the Allendale County School District Back to School Bash!

We were honored to have Councilman, Byron Thomas of the City of Cayce District 2 with us today for a Lunch & Learn.
It was a pleasure getting to know him and sharing the important work we do here to reach the underserved in our communities.

Cavities and other oral health problems have been called a silent epidemic in the United States.

At Welvista's Smiles for a Lifetime dental centers, we are dedicated to improving oral health outcomes for grade school children in some of our state's most underserved school districts.

Staff Highlight: Rob Korn

Rob is a Community Outreach Advocates for the Welvista Medication Assistance Program (MAP). He happily serves Calhoun, Lee, Richland, and Sumter counties.

Welvista has partnered with RxLocal, a mobile pharmacy app, to make it convenient and easy for our patients to get their medications!

With RxLocal, our patients can reorder their medication using their cell phone, message the pharmacy directly between 8;30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, and set daily reminders to take medications!

You can download the RxLocal app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

We are so very thankful for all of our community partners like MUSC Health who help direct patients to our Medication Assistance Program.

Margaret is one of our new Community Outreach Advocates for the Welvista Medication Assistance Program (MAP). She happily serves Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, and Pickens counties.
