Check out this new opportunity offered by MU Graduate Professional Council - GPC!

The GPC SkillXchange series is designed to empower graduate students through hands-on workshops and peer collaboration. In the first session, R for Statistical Computing, participants will explore key aspects of R, including IDEs, object structures, data import techniques, and exploratory data analysis. You’ll also learn how to visualize data and apply linear models using R.

Whether you're new to R or looking to enhance your skills, this interactive session will provide practical tools and peer support to advance your data analysis expertise. This event is supported by the Graduate School and organized in collaboration with the Center for Applied Statistics and Data Analysis (CASDA). Lunch will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring their laptops for an immersive learning experience.

Looking for a "safety net" for support and connection? Join a GradNet Connections session! These peer-led support spaces, facilitated by graduate student clinicians, provide a welcoming environment where graduate students can explore mental health topics and build community. Each session offers a safe space for students of various identities to engage in meaningful discussions about mental health, wellness, and more. Mid-Missouri African Gala 2024 04/04/2024

The First Annual Mid-Missouri African Gala is here!

Hosted by the MU African Interdisciplinary Studies Hub, this gala is part of an initiative to promote the study and understanding of Africa at the University of Missouri-Columbia. This year's theme focuses on training and medical research, specifically supporting The Global Health Initiative: International Research Elective, an 8-week research training program for African medical students.

The 2024 gala will be held Saturday, April 13 at Reynolds Alumni Center. It will be a red-carpet event with live music, dance, and dinner. Visit the Mid-Missouri African Gala website for additional details and to RSVP by April 7.
