Position: Production Manager

Objective: Contributes to the growth and profitability of the company by effectively managing the production department’s operations.

Basic Function: Coordinates all factory units engaged in direct production activities. Ensures that outgoing products meet or exceed quality standards. (roof truss, floor truss, wall panels, and all supporting products) Monitors inventory, personnel, and equipment within the production area. Ensures customer satisfaction through accurate information and orders, and high quality products. Provides leadership in personnel management & development, quality control, safety management, and maintenance. Maximizes units produced & minimizes unit cost.

Essential Functions:
• Provide an operational work environment daily from the time production shifts begins until final shift is scheduled to finish.
• Be a leader by example and by attitude.
• Provide clear rules for safe operation in the work environment.
• Enforce company policies.
• Make certain all new employees receive a consistent and thorough orientation.
• Implement a training plan that challenges all line foremen to excel at what they do.
• Monitor quality of work performed regularly and consistently.
• Digest efficiency reports to accurately understand productivity measures.
• Recommend changes that can improve productivity.
• Minimize waste or loss.
• Accurately fill out required reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Update production system with current information.
• Resolve personnel conflicts as they occur.

• Provide that all raw material and manufacturing processes meet quality control in accordance with shop drawings and KA/CRT quality requirements.
• Provide adequate training to ensure proper procedures and standards of the production process.
• Provide an internal recruiting program.
• Recommend minimum & maximum for production compensation by role.
• Provide adequate personnel records for hiring compensation, discharge, & absenteeism.
• Provide regular production employee evaluation program.
• Develop high morale among production employees.
• Responsible for all production related personnel issues including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, employee relations, etc.
• Monitor production schedule and plan staffing needs in advance.
• Follow up on customer concerns and complaints as needed; go to job sites, make internal and external calls, etc.
• Attain guidance and direction from General Manager on company goals and strategies.

Additional Duties:
• Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled production and safety meetings.
• Perform weekly and monthly inventory and provide information to senior management.
• Enforce company policies.
• Coordinates with HR and ensures necessary administrative processes by completing all employee-related forms, reviews, etc.
• Attends and actively participates in management meetings by reporting department status and providing constructive input during discussions.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• Minimum 7 years Truss Production experience
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role
• High School diploma/GED required; AA or BA/BS degree preferred
• Strong leadership and performance management skills
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to organize effectively and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Ability to ensure effective follow-up and follow-through

We are looking to add a maintenance person/backup local delivery driver to our growing team with experience in electrical, mechanical, and equipment maintenance. Must have a Class A CDL.

Candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment, forklifts, and vehicles in our manufacturing facility, as well as delivering product to customer job sites as needed. Must be comfortable changing focus and adapting to changes in direction quickly.
