Congratulations to Mr. Steele and the entire Lake Orion High School Band program! What an incredible honor!

Prior to his concert at Little Caesars Arena on August 22, Barry Manilow presented Michael Steele of Lake Orion High School with a check for $10,000 to use for school instruments after winning the Manilow Music Project teacher contest.

We are so proud of Luck Public Schools Safety Patrol, who raised $6,000 during their fundraiser and chose to donate $1,000 of that to a local nursing home! This donation helped the nursing home to purchase a van for its residents, as well as a double-wide wheelchair to allow residents to sit together on nature walks. Their efforts got them featured in the local paper! 📰

As for the rest of their funds, students plan to purchase furniture for additional seating for their school so students have a place to hang out in between classes.

In previous years, this group has raised funds for multiple ways to benefit their school and community, including for an outdoor classroom shelter to expand student learning space, a water bottle filling station for students 💧, classroom walkie-talkies to help with emergencies, and a new curtain for their stage.

We love working with the Luck Public Schools Safety Patrol and can’t wait to see what they do next!
