Today was teacher orientation day at St Margaret Preschool. After a year of preparation dating back to last October, St Margaret Preschool is excited to open the doors on a second, fully-furnished classroom. This will mark our first year with a full-day class offering—one that is fully rostered as well! To accommodate this swift growth, an entirely new classroom needed to be furnished in short order, complete with a new bathroom and plumbing. We thank Doug and his team for their diligent efforts and prowess amidst other campus obligations and the festival.

A second classroom also requires the most important ingredient of them all: great educators! We’ve been blessed to welcome Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Kuno to our St Margaret faculty. We hope you'll pay us a visit once we catch our breath! 😄

This Thursday is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation. We hope to see you at one of our two Masses: 9AM or 7PM 🙏

St Brendan’s annual Parish Festival is one week away! Your family won’t want to miss the large rides, games of chance, hot eats, cold beers, and 7 live entertainment acts over two nights! The festival runs from 6-11PM on Friday (8/9) and 6-11PM on Saturday (8/10) with Family Hours from 3-6PM on Saturday. Just a few spaces remain to help volunteer at our Kids Tent tomorrow and Saturday, but we certainly would love to fill them! Serving in the Kids Tent for a couple hours is an excellent way to earn service hours. We also welcome adult volunteers who have Virtus/PGC certifications. Come join the fun! 😀

Third Thursday Holy Hour is next week at 7PM and is hosted by Fr Jeff. Mark your calendars to join us at St Margaret for an hour of reverence and adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Fr Jeff invites everyone to come and experience Mass with a harp this weekend at 10:30AM on Sunday. We will be privileged to host a professional harpist, Jeanne Norton, who will accompany the Mass and provide this unique experience. Jeanne has played in the Columbus Symphony, ProMusica, and at various venues for many years. Don't miss this uncommon opportunity!

We are still accepting donations for our St. Margaret of Cortona Festival Silent Auction! If you have anything you/your company would like to donate, please let me know! All roads lead to Indy! The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is underway and thousands of our fellow Catholics are on the move as the Blessed Sacrament is processed across the country. Four pilgrimages will converge at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis next month. Columbus is blessed to serve pilgrims and adorers with several checkpoints on the eastern route later this month. Today we celebrate the Feast of our patroness, St Margaret of Cortona. She is the patron saint of weight loss, the homeless, the mentally ill, single mothers, and many more. Her story of redemption is one that reminds every person that Christ's love and mercy is never out of reach.

Fun, fellowship, and our famous sausage sandwiches will be had at our annual Parish Festival at St Margaret of Cortona on July 26th and 27th! We are pleased to announce that amusement rides will be returning for 2024! More details to come 🎠🎪

This weekend marks the kickoff for The Appeal 2024, an annual campaign to support evangelization efforts and grow the Catholic faith across Central Ohio. Come prepared to Masses this weekend with your remittance envelope to drop in the collection. Additional envelopes will be available in the Church, or you can give online at bit.ly/GiveAppeal

Fr Jeff calls upon each of us to prayerfully consider a thoughtful gift towards our parish goal of $62,330. Every dollar in excess of our goal will be refunded to St Margaret to be used for a variety of campus maintenance and security projects.

The St. Margaret spirit wear is ready! If you placed an order, you can pick it up from the parish office this Wednesday or Thursday, 8 AM- 3 PM or they will be available after each mass this weekend. The NFL Draft isn't the only place to experience movin' and shakin' this weekend. Our collaborating parishes will be making a weekend swap in the interest of growing our partnership in faith and fellowship. St Margaret can expect to meet Fr Jacob Stinnett at the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses on Sunday. Fr Bob Penhallurick will celebrate our 4PM Saturday Vigil. Please welcome these visiting priests this weekend!
