The Worthington Parks are full of people playing sports and getting exercise, and now there is a new life-saving tool installed at McCord Park in case someone has a medical emergency. ๐
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is now stored in a weather-resistant cabinet in easy view on the north side of the restrooms by the ball fields. In combination with CPR, AEDs can help save a life before first responders arrive. If someone falls unconscious and has stopped breathing or has no pulse, remember first to call 9-1-1, send someone to grab the AED, and begin CPR.
The City is working to install these at more parks and public locations around town. We encourage those without training to enroll in a CPR and AED course. To find one near you, go to heart.org.
Join the Worthington team! The Department of Service and Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for the position of part-time custodian.
