DPCCC 2024 Election - Endorsement Caucus Registration Form 08/14/2024

As District 4 Director of the DEM party in CCC, I lead the endorsement processes in Concord Clayton and Walnut Creek. I have been coordinating with District 2 and District 3 directors, as we share some overlapping races. We will be interviewing candidates beginning today through next week. If you’re registered Dem in a city in supervisor Districts 4, 5, & 2 please sign up to participate. We need your support in recommending the best candidates for endorsement.

FYI - we have asked candidates not to attend interviews in other cities with similar races. There’s no rule preventing them from coming, but we’re asking them not to attend or they would have an advantage seeing the questions when their interview comes up. It’s really inconsiderate of candidates when they know the delimma, but don’t care. More info to comes of those behaving badly.

DPCCC 2024 Election - Endorsement Caucus Registration Form Please fill out the questions below to participate in your local endorsement caucus. After you have filled out this form, you will receive a list of Endorsement Caucus Candidate Zoom interviews from which to choose. I good reminder of what we faced during Trump’s presidency. Start talking about better options than Trump.

Your tax-dollars are funding these for-profit, privately-owned internment camps. This is what’s really going on - and it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Join me in SIGNING A petition telling Governor Newsom of California to pardon three beloved community members - Borey “Peejay” Ai, Nghiep “Ke” Lam, Chanton Bun, and Maria Legarda - who are at risk of deportation.

Will you sign on to tell Governor Newsom to pardon them now so they can remain home with their families and community? Click here: https://www.18millionrising.org/actions/pardon-apsc4/?source=email&

The APSC 4 are childhood survivors of violence and trauma. As youth, they were subjected to bullying, poverty, war, and domestic violence. As a result, they were funneled into the criminal legal system. During their incarceration, they became positive leaders inside, completed several self-help programs, and even got educational certificates. They all earned their release from the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (CDCR).

But, after the Board of Parole Hearings and Governor Newsom affirmed that all members were suitable for release, CDCR coordinated with Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) to directly transfer to ICE detention for deportation. Immigrants and refugees are subjected to double punishment simply because of where they were born.

Will you join me in calling on Governor Newsom to stop ICE from deporting APSC4 by granting Maria, Ke, Bun, and PJ a pardon? SIGN HERE: https://www.18millionrising.org/actions/pardon-apsc4/?source=email&

They deserve to remain with their family, community, loved ones, and continue their valuable work in serving our community.
