✨ A few highlights from yesterday’s outreach event at Aspire Richmond Technology Academy's Family Literacy Night! 📚 It was a pleasure for Project Second Chance to join forces with San Pablo Library and El Sobrante Library. We take great pleasure in promoting family literacy and engaging with the community.

Here's a blast from the PSC past! If this "Learn to Read" card looks a bit worn, it's because a former PSC learner has been carrying it around since the 1990's! She saw this card at her local library and decided to give us a call.

We’re thrilled that CalMatters visited the PSC Concord office today! 🙌 A heartfelt thank you for allowing our learners and tutors to weigh in on the CalMatters Voter Guide.🗳️

🌟🧠Spotted a tutor-learner pair elevating vocabulary with a touch of fun! They used Tapple to transform their session into an engaging word game! 📚

What our Volunteer Adult Literacy tutors for hance report gaining from their role helping a neighbor with life-based literacy goals, such as voting, reading to a child or grandchild, or a job promotion.

- A chance to learn from a neighbor
- An appreciation for being able to read and write fluently
- Getting to have FUN!

Project Second Chance is recruiting for a new 40-hour Library Literacy Assistant position. 🌟 The position will split time between the Concord and Antioch PSC offices.
