📣 Breaking news: the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced a temporary variance that will allow homebuyers using a VA loan to pay for certain real estate buyer-broker fees, including commissions. The temporary variance goes into effect August 10, 2024, and it is intended to keep Veterans, active-duty Service members, and surviving spouses who plan to purchase a home using a VA home loan competitive in the homebuying market, amid changes that may result from a key class-action settlement involving the National Association of REALTORS®.
