Our Story
Bruce Lawing was born in Raleigh, NC but moved to Rhode Island when he was three. His family lived in a coastal community and it was a great place to grow up. After graduating from URI, Bruce moved to Charlotte and as of two years ago has officially lived in the South more years than in the North. Soon after getting married, Bruce and his wife moved to Concord where they have lived for the past seventeen years. They have been blessed with four beautiful daughters who they enjoy raising and coaching and encouraging in various sports and creative pursuits. Bruce is a Deacon at The Refuge in Concord, a Coach for Upward basketball, and has been a Meals on Wheels driver. Bruce has been a mortgage lender and manager for eighteen years, first with Wachovia and SunTrust and now is a Senior Mortgage Planner at Fairway. Over those years Bruce enjoyed the affiliation with the large banks but realized in the ever-changing mortgage environment that he needed to be at a place that had the flexibility to offer more options to his customers. The company also needed to be very professional and responsive and he has found all of that at Fairway and is proud to serve my customers here.
History:
Founded in 1996 by Steve Jacobson and named by a childhood best friend, colleague and forever member of the Fairway family, Randy Cross, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation is a mortgage lender headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin and Carrollton, Texas. Fairway’s vision is to foster relationships and create a team atmosphere, empowering offices to operate autonomously in their day-to-day operations, while still maintaining strict compliance and consistency across the board. Fairway provides all necessary support in the areas of personnel, accounting and compliance.
