FAQ: How often should I receive a prenatal massage throughout my pregnancy?

Here’s the truth:
Here at Mama Me Time Spa, we believe you should receive massage and bodywork sessions just as often as you would see your OBGYN/Midwife for a prenatal visit. Massage Therapy should be treated as preventative care during your pregnancy meaning don’t wait until you’re pain or experiencing swelling before booking with us.

Here’s a general guide we like to follow for our expecting moms:
⏰ 14w-27w: Once a month
⏰ 28w-35w: Bi-weekly
⏰ 36w+: Once a week until baby’s arrival

Follow this guide and we can certainly guarantee you will 1) labor less 2) be more intuned with the bodies transitions throughout labor and 3) have a more relaxing birthing experience compared to those who do not utilize bodywork throughout their prenatal care.

Seven years ago today, I became a mama 🥹

I know this weather is not ideal for the birthday festivities we had planned as a family today BUT we will make the best with being indoors and having FAMILY TIME.

Pregnant woman walks into Sunshine Spa of Concord, NC at 26 weeks pregnant and receives a pregnancy massage. She completes a client intake form, she verbally lets them know she is pregnant and completes this on the form.

She is prepared to have this prenatal massage service performed lying on her side as she awaits for the service provider to walk back into the treatment room. The “therapist” insists that she lies on her belly and performs this service while this mama lie on the massage table in the prone position for this 60-min pregnancy massage service.

Prone position is the term for lying flat on your stomach.

No extra accommodations were made to protect mama and baby while lying in this prone position. This mama lie not fully clothed as it expected for someone who is now claiming to be “national certified reflexologist”.

Thank God both mama and baby are doing well BUT this was a prenatal massage performed by unlicensed provider at Sunshine Spa of Concord, NC.

This is not libel.
This is not slander.

This is the truth with receipts and official complaints to prove it.
