Before honing a block, we check all the pistons with the MC-1. The MC-1 measures skirt size, taper and ovality, ring groove depth, compression height and piston thickness.

I am sure this is going around right now so I will make a short post to address the tragedy that happened today.

My best friend and business partner Ben Kearns passed away a couple of hours ago due to injuries sustained in a wreck he had at the track earlier today.

Carrillo Rods, Winberg Crank, mXa Custom Piston/wrist pin/ring kit by CP/Carrillo and Total Seal with mXa custom designed coatings by Line2Line, and Cometic SEC gasket kit. It's all stays clamped using some ARP main studs and Demon Performance custom 625+ head studs by ARP. Block and heads are Hellcat BGE block and Hellcat heads. This one has a custom boost cam, Hellcat lifters, custom 3/8" pushrods by Manton, our mXa valvespring kit using PSI springs and our mXa designed retainers and spring locators made for us by JHE. All machine work performed by RF engines. This is one of our in house designed and built 412 cubic inch stroker engines.
