Easy Pose-sit on the floor cross legs into the mid shin and rest hands on the thighs
Auspicious Pose-place sole of foot against opposite thigh, feet are symmetrical
Chair Pose-sit on the front of the seat, knees straight, feet flat on floor
Bench Pose-kneel on the floor, place bench under rear keeping thighs parallel to hips.

Recipe-Breakfast
Cashew & Oat Hotcakes: Place 2 cups old fashioned oats, ½ cup raw cashews, 1 dash of salt and 1 tsp cinnamon in food processor or blender pulse until coarsely ground. Add 1 egg, 1 Tbsp. melted coconut oil, 1 1.3 cups of water and 1 tsp vanilla extract, pulse until well blended. Add water if batter is super thick. Spoon ¼ cup batter into medium nonstick heated skillet, coated with spray. Cook over medium heat. Cook 1 to 2 minutes until bubbles form on top. Flip and cook for 3o seconds.
Makes 10 servings. Serve 2 each.

Reduce brain chatter: The nattering, chattering voice in our head seems never to leave us alone. Isn’t it time we gave it a little break?
Recipe-Dinner
Chicken, Apple, Sweet Potato, and Brussel Sprouts Skillet
Ingredients
o 1 tbsp olive oil
o ½ lb boneless skinless chicken
o ½ tsp sea salt
o ½ tsp pepper
o 4 slices, chopped bacon
o 2 cups Brussel sprouts
o 1 medium sweet potato
o ½ yellow onion, diced
o 2 apples, diced
o Minced garlic
o 2 tsp thyme
o 1 tsp cinnamon
o 1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large, non stick or cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Add the chicken, salt, and black pepper. Cook until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat
2. Reduce skillet heat to medium low, add chopped bacon and cook until crisp. Remove bacon. Discard all but 1 ½ tbsp bacon fat from the pan
3. Increase skillet heat to medium high. Add brussel sprouts, sweet potato, onion, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and the onions are tender, about 10 minutes.
4. Stir in the apples, garlic, thyme, and cinnamon. Cook 30 seconds, then pour in ½ cup of chicken broth. Bring to a boil and cook until evaporated, about 2 minutes. Add the reserved chicken and remaining broth. Cook until heated through, about 2 minutes. Stir in bacon.
Prep time: 15 minutes. Cook time: 20 minutes

Being comfortable during your meditation practice is a key component of shaping an effective meditation posture. The details of sitting must be worked out with both stability and comfort in mind. An erect and self supporting pose is the goal of the practice. However, in the beginning you may find unsupported sitting poses unpleasant. Feel free to use a wall or the back of a chair as needed.
