👶 "If I had a nickel for every time 9-1-1 Telecommunicator Hayley was recognized for her work assisting with childbirth I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's cool it's happened twice."
That's right, once again our 9-1-1 Telecommunicator Hayley is in the spotlight for her exemplary work, but this time it is a Life Saving Award presented yesterday by Chief Harvey. 🥇
From the award: "In a critical moment, Telecommunicator Hayley calmly guided a distraught husband through the delivery of his five-week premature baby. Recognizing the urgency, Hayley directed the father to stop driving and arranged for medical help to meet him. She recognized that providing early medical instructions while gathering critical information for responders was the best course of action for the medical health of the baby. Despite the challenging circumstances, Hayley remained focused and ensured the baby, initially delivered within the amniotic sac, was safely removed, and attended to for vital signs. Upon the arrival of paramedics, further life-saving efforts commenced, resulting in the successful resuscitation and transport of the newborn. Hayley’s quick thinking and composure undoubtedly saved a life."
Congratulations, Hayley, and thank you for your outstanding work serving our community!
