Benton County Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program to host World Breast/Chestfeeding Celebration - Benton County Health Department, Oregon Benton County WIC will celebrate 50 years at the Corvallis Community Center on Saturday, August 31 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Every year, children die in shootings that could have been prevented by responsible gun security. In ninety percent of firearm-related youth suicides and unintentional shootings, the firearm came from the home of the victim, or from a friend or family member. Likewise, 90% of teens who abuse pharmaceutical drugs obtain them from their home medicine cabinet or their friends.

To help keep all children safe from unsecured guns and medications, we encourage everyone to:

🔒Secure all fi****ms and pharmaceuticals.
❓Ask whether there are any unsecured fi****ms or drugs in the homes your children visit.
🗣Frequently talk to children about the dangers of fi****ms and pharmaceutical drugs.
👨‍🏫Educate and empower others to be SAFE.
