For the past 6 months our team of the most amazing, hard working gals in town have been working on a line of dinnerware (while also being THE BEST crew of instructors and staff during open studio hours) and we’re all soooo excited to announce that we will be launching an online shop very soon! Stay tuned everyone!

Two new hand-building courses just posted to our site! One 6-week course where we will introduce you to to the functional and sculptural process of ceramics, and one 4-week mini-course focusing on making a set of vases! ☀️

Glazing workshop this Sunday! 8/30 10am-12pm ☀️ Join us for this 2 hour all inclusive workshop to learn about the glazing process we use at Cone 5! Each participant will have the opportunity to explore a selection of commercial glazes and the full range of studio glazes made here at Costa Mesa Ceramics Studio. Application techniques will include dipping, brushing and painting designs as well as wax and tape resist.

April batch of one-off wheel classes will be posted to our site by Monday! We are tying super hard to add more classes and workshops to our schedule so please hang in there folks.. We look forward to seeing some fresh new faces in the studio soon! ☀️

There’s still a few spots left in our upcoming plate making mini course! 🌈🌈🌈 Learn how to make small decorative plates using both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques! This all inclusive mini-course is once a week for four weeks. Each session will focus on a different part of the ceramic process: throwing, trimming, slab-building, decoration and finally glazing. Participants will take home at least two wheel-thrown plates and two hand-built plates. Beginners welcome! Thursday Evenings 6:00-8:00 pm

Ps. A few tips about our monthly wine night...
We typically host one wine night a month, usually held on the last Friday from 6:30-9pm. These wine nights are posted to our website on the first Friday of each month.
The February wine + ceramics night (2/28) will be going live on our site this Friday.
The cost is $50 per person.

-The last glaze firing of the year will be on 12/26/19
-On 1/1/20 we will be clearing out all works in progress that is older than 12/1/19
-On 1/1/20 we will be clearing out all bisqueware that is older than 10/1/19
