It was a wonderful Iowa Fall night at Bethany Heights where we hosted our quarterly Open House! We had a blast with incredible must talent Eric Heitz and Rusty Bryce playing the classics and requests! Food, snacks and a firepit where we cooked open fire smores! It was a super relaxing time full of family, friends and fun! We encourage you to come out to our next Open House at Bethany Heights which will be in Mid-December! If your family member or loved one needs an assisted living home please stop by Bethany Heights!

The residents had a wonderful movie day at the Heights with popcorn and M&M's!

We had such a great time with the lovely people up at the Neola Senior Center this past week. We were talking about Bethany, listening to good music, playing games and handing out prizes!

The ice cream social was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came out and spent some time with us, it was so much fun and it was great to see everyone.

Just a reminder everyone, our ice cream social is this weekend on Sunday 1:30-3:30!

We had Laurel from Scatter Joy Acres come down to the Heights to bring some adorable baby peacocks for our residents to interact and play with! They are so sweet and loved being around our residents everyone had a great time.

Come down to Bethany on July 30th for a free will pay ice cream social! We will have ice cream, pies, and cakes!

Over here at Bethany Heights were out side enjoying our Fourth of July barbecue with some burgers and brats! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

In 433 A.D., St. Patrick wrote this prayer called St. Patrick’s Breastplate, which is still widely known and recited today.

National Social Workers Month continues, and today we are highlighting Wendy Spetman! Wendy has been working with Bethany Lutheran Health Service now for 8 years, and we are so blessed to have her here.

Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts in Family Science. She grew up in Pisgah, Iowa, until she moved to the Omaha area for Jr. and Senior High School. Wendy’s married with three girls. Her oldest is a freshman at Wayne State, and her two younger ones are in high school and junior high.

Wendy loves history and genealogy, and she works part-time as an Adoption Search Specialist for Lutheran Family Services and Catholic Charities of Omaha. So, you could say she gets paid to do what she loves, genealogy and reuniting birth families!

“There is no place like home, but for families where that is not an option, BLHS can offer compassionate and caring people who want to create an atmosphere that does feel like home,” said Wendy.

Wendy does tremendous work here at Bethany, and we’re lucky to have her.
