A big thank you to all of our Volunteers and churches and the boy scouts that came out and made our Christmas basket giveaway a success. A special shout out to Big Boys towing and Chuck’s Towing for working the lot and then hauling the supplies back over to the food pantry. We appreciate everyone who pitched in to help. Merry Christmas and we will see you next year!

Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who helped pack, and deliver the food baskets. We had a great group of volunteers this year! Thank you all so much. If you were unable to get your bag last night please contact the pantry and make arrangements to pick it up. Merry Christmas!

Update 12/15 AM: Pastor is still intubated and they are keeping him sedated to let his body continue to heal and rest. He is getting another round of the plasmapheresis. Sis. Rachel is on the mend. Please continue to pray for them both and their family.

Update 12/14 AM: Please continue to pray for Pastor Chris. Not much change since yesterday. Keep Sis Rachel in your prayers. She’s still not well in her body. God is our healer!

Update 12/13 AM: Pastor had a rough night so the sedation had to be increased. He is currently resting quietly and is calm. PT was pleased because his extremities are not getting stiff and are very flexible. Thank the Lord! Please continue to pray for Sis Rachel as she is still sick in her body. We’re believing God!
Thank you for your prayers!

Update 12/12 PM: Sis Rachel is very sick in her body. Please pray that God touches her and she’s able to rest. Also, that God would continue to heal Pastor. We know He’s able! In Jesus name!
Thank you for praying!

Update 12/12 AM: Please pray that God gives Pastor Chris peace so that he can rest a little better.

They did the first Plasmapheresis. He tolerated it well. He has opened his eyes several times and was even able to nod his head in answer to questions. We are waiting and watching. God is able to do exceedingly and above all that we ask or think. We are praying and believing that he will come out of this and recovery more quickly than they expect. Wouldn’t it be amazing if he didn’t even have to have therapy? Only God.

Please keep praying that the progression of sickness stops, healing begins, and there are no residual effects from the sickness or intubation. Pray that he does well and has no issues coming off the vent as well.

Please pray for strength and peace for Sis Rachel and the boys.

Update 12/11 PM: They have started the plasmapheresis. Please pray it goes well with the treatment and he responds quickly!

Update 12/11: they intubated last night and put in a central line. He is still responsive and can open his eyes. His stats are all good. The vent is set to 40% and he can initiate breathing on his own if his body wants to do so. Just watching and waiting while giving his body time to rest and heal. They will be starting plasmapheresis today. He can receive 5 treatments of that if necessary. Tentatively, the plan is to run nerve conduction tests on Wednesday. Dr. Wants to wait until he’s no longer on the vent to so those tests. It just depends on how quickly the progression of this illness stops and how quickly he begins a turnaround.

Please keep praying that the progression of sickness stops, healing begins, and there are no residual effects from the sickness or intubation. Pray that he does well and has no issues coming off the vent as well.

Thank you for praying and for all the love and help that you are sending! ❤️

12/10 Update: they are going to have to intubate. Paralysis and numbness have moved up his chest and it’s a struggle to breathe. We have exhausted all options. His body is tired and needs to rest. Please pray! We are very unnerved and scared but know we are in God’s hands.

Update 12/10: It was a rough night. They are managing his pain better but it does still wake him. They have checked his breathing with a couple of different tests every 4 hours and so far that’s good. The numbness has moved farther up his stomach. He was moving his arms a little more last night. Today, that has diminished and the ability to move his legs has diminished as well.
Please keep praying that the progression stops and he recovers quickly. He also needs peace and rest.

Update: Pastor is being treated for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). We are being told the recovery could be weeks to months. Please pray that the symptoms do not progress any farther and he starts recovering now. God is able!
