Back to school cookies being made today! Will be in the store for sale Tuesday through Friday. Come see us during business hours! There’s a few other sets not shown here, but I will post more pictures when I get them made! :)

You guys make me feel so loved! Just know, if you stop by and leave a note for me, or your kiddos color pictures for me, i save everything. It proudly hangs on the wall by my desk forever and ever!

We are looking to hire one or two high schoolers to close the bakery for us!

What we need:

-The schedule would be 3pm-7pm

-They must be in the work program at their school.

-They must be able to work ANY day during the week 3pm-7pm and Saturday 8-3 as needed.

-I’m looking to hire one person to work 4 closing shifts per week, or two people to each work two closing shifts per week.

I’m so sad that our summer classes have officially come to an end, but don’t worry!! We will have more towards the holidays and we are still booking birthday parties on Saturdays! You’re not going to believe this..

I hired a new cake decorator!

For context, it takes a lot to pass my interviews for that position. In fact, I’ve been looking for a cake decorator for over two years. I have interviewed over 10 people and only one has made the cut. There’s so much involved with hiring someone for our store. We are such a small little family, so everyone has to get along, personalities have to mesh. (The bakery is my happy place so it must remain peaceful at all costs, even if that means I have do to everything.) They have to be dependable, I can’t hire someone to decorate cakes and not trust that they will show up to complete orders! They have to be skilled in buttercream, wedding orders, stacking cakes, cookies, cake pops, and all of the things. They have to be quick, the volume we do, we have to work quickly to get things done. They have to have a friendly personality so they can help customers up front at times, there’s just so much more involved than making cakes. Just when I had about given up hope in finding my person, she reached out to us randomly one day. After talking for a few weeks and multiple interviews, she is all of the things that I was searching for. Hopefully we don’t scare her off in the first week! So, if you see this new face bopping around the bakery, give her a nice warm welcome so she feels at home with us. We are so very excited to have her and hope she stays around for a long, long time!
