Shift: 12 Hour Nights (1845-0715) (Must have previously worked a night shift within the last year)
Weekends/holidays: rotate every other
Float Requirements : To alike units, based on census - Med Surg, Orthopedics, Bariatrics and PCU – possibility of floating to Respiratory Care to care for COVID patients
On Call: None
Required Licenses and Certifications: Active NC or Compact state license, AHA BLS , ACLS preferred **NO NEW TRAVELERS**
Epic: Required.
Minimum experience: 2 years and 1 successful travel assignment

*Travelers must attend meetings every other month.. Schedule to be provided*
**Manager will not approve RTO over 5 days. Must be 5 days or less**

Unit Information (Bed Size, Case Type, Patient Ratio): Med/Surg-Oncology 37-bed unit; Medical admissions to the unit include patients with cancer, pneumonia, hypoxia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, dehydration, deep vein thrombosis, infections, gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatitis, substance abuse, mental status changes; Surgical admissions include patients undergoing general, bariatric, vascular, urological, gynecological, endoscopic, plastic, podiatric, ear, nose, and throat surgical procedures. Must have oncology & bariatric experience. Ratios are Days 1:5/6 & Nights 1:6-7

On Call/Call-Back: 1-2x per week from end of shift to 0700 the next day.
Weekend/Holiday: occasional weekend call – Friday, Saturday and Sun through 0700 on Monday. No holiday shifts, but holiday call is required.
Required Certifications: BLS, CST license required
Required Education: Completion of Surgical Technologist program at accredited institution, completion of certification exam for Surgical Technologist
Minimum Experience: 2+ years’ experience. Strong ortho and C- section required
Charting/Equipment: NA - facility uses epic charting. Equipment: Standard surgical supplies and instruments.
Unit Specific: 3 ORs and 1 endoscopy room
Required skills: Maintain a sterile back table during cases, must be able to hold retractors/cameras for long periods of time, central supply and sterilization, ortho, general, OB/GYN, Podiatry and Urology. Colonoscopy and EGD. Willing to accept candidates that are experienced and willing/eager to learn if they do not possess skillset in all of these areas.
